The good and the bad

Hi peeps

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking the excellent advice on this website I pretty much started by taking it one day at a time. This does indeed help.

I thought to share the good and the bad and would love to hear anyone else's should they wish to share.

Today I had both a good and a bad moment. I received 2 letters in the post.

The first was from the hosp confirming my op date (my bad moment) cos my stomach dropped and I had that now familiar feeling of anxiousness take hold for a moment but shook it off cos I know it is needed.

The good - my 2nd letter - as if... a tax rebate - boom  . Not half put a much needed smile on my face . Reckon a my treat family meal is in order.

Eeee it's the little things ain't it.

Take care peeps

  • Hi. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago, I had surgery a few weeks later and it’s the most nervous I’ve ever been, but you’ll be absolutely fine, I was it’s just a long day waiting around xx

  • Morning all

    Today

Bad - op site sore and tightening up and oh so itchy!

Good  - managed to get trousers on and feel comfy - washed up breakfast pots - never thought that would be a plus. Lol - sun shining

Better than good - hubby out but bringing in Costa latte later - yum

  • Morning yes sun is shining here but a bit cloudy.

Bad- now my oldest son gone home no one brought me a cuppa in bed this morning!

Good- first time in 8 weeks I slept all night

hope you have a good a day as you can ladies

    enjoy your latte x

  • Good morning!!!

Bad: sharp pain in my boob last night. Lasted about 5 minutes and felt like a throbbing stabbing pain. Still getting it this morning but only lasting 1 or 2 seconds.

Good: had toast and jam, coffee, and chilling today. All ready for a marathon binge watch of the royal wedding tomorrow, and a party to go to in the evening!

Have a lovely day everyone x

  • Got my first chat with oncologist on Tuesday!

Already been informed they can arrange to have radio tattoos removed on NHS for me !

Just hope my onco type alien is low score fingers crossed!

Looks like wee *** cat is going off to heaven today very sad.

Been at work this morning organising other people's care which is a really good mind set for me.

Over did it a bit yesterday with 4 mile walk and an hour of high impact tap.

    Got ballet tonight.

Good royal wedding weekend to you all xxx

  • Afternoon warrior

    Sad about poor *** cat...

Good that you’ve enjoyed work and exercise even if it was a bit much.

Ballet tonight- you’re a glutton for punishment but you can do my share if you like. Lol.

Im struggling to walk to the bottom of the garden and back - but then I am an ooooooold lady. I’ve promised that when I’m properly better that’s all going to change. So if I can get my arthritic joints sorted, I might rake up dancing again- something a little more sedate than tap or ballet though.

    Sundial

  • Better news about cat... She's rallying and able to weight bare now fingers crossed!
