Hi there Blacksheep, welcome to the forum, but sorry for why you find yourself here. Getting the news that your cancer has come back is a real downer and the shock of that is almost as bad as diagnosis the first time around. I am so sorry this has happened to you. Knowing you will have further treatment is very disappointing too, but hopefully, the prognosis is favorable. You don't say how old your children are, but I sense that they are rather young. In addition to dealing with your own disappointment and fears about this recurrance, you need to reassure them to reduce their anxiety. I'm sure your marriage breakup had a very negative impact on them as well, so this coming on the heels of that will be difficult for them.

Do you know what to expect for the prognosis? Your treatment team likely have resources to help you to provide reassurance to your children, as well as to give you information on your own disappointment. I hope you have family and friends around you at this time to offer support. Come back on to the forum at any time and allow other forum members to support you through this. Just writing about your concerns can help to lift the load off of your shoulders, if only for a short while.
