I've just had a dignsois of cancer

Hi am a 52 year old female. With cancer in the throat.   Waiting on some  radio and chemo therapy. My terrifed haven't slept for. Weeks. My heads like a dark cloud and can't think     My brain is numb   Every day I try to be normal for my little family  pretending am Oky and feeling positive and sting. But in fact am falling apart in side   Is the normal or what

    Hi Eve,

    There's no such thing as normal in our situation, we all just do what we need to do to try to keep sane.

    I was emotionally numb for ages after my diagnosis, just plodded on with things and tried not to think about it too much. Other people cry all the time, some of us get angry, yet others seem to be more accepting.

    Waiting for tests, treatments and results does my head in.
