Bowel Cancer at 32

So, was looking forward to 2016 being a great year, new job, new motorbike and heading towards a new house with my girlfriend of 12 years.  Then it turns out I had a squatter in my bowel, who I now refer to as the "squatter", an unwelcome guest that has put one hell of a downer on the year - my Cancer is quite severe, having gnome already spread to my Liver, the Primary is in the Bowel which makes it more treatable, but nonetheless, I still have one hell of a battle ahead of me - I am making a video log of how each day is going, please feel free to ask questions about what the whole process is like, and what I'm using as a source of strength - I know in the coming weeks some days will be good, and some not-so, the Log officially starts tomorrow but I have an introductory video to break the ice

  • Hi -So sorry to hear of your diagnosis ..my partner died of kidney failure in 2002 so when I was diagnosed with rectal cancer I literally had to cope on my own but friends all rallied round to take me for my radiotherapy & luckily after removing the tumour I am in remission apart from CTs & MRIs etc but what I have found is just have a very positive attitude ..it does help - take care & lots of love - from Susie x

  • Thank you Susie - so sorry to hear what you've been through, I hope my V-logs & posts can take some of the sting out of it - everyone on here is really supportive, me personally, I'm not going to let Cancer take me without me kicking, screaming, biting, punching & pulling hair - and there's one thin y it's certainly not getting & that's my sense of humour! Thanks again & it was nice to meet you
