Bowel Cancer at 32

So, was looking forward to 2016 being a great year, new job, new motorbike and heading towards a new house with my girlfriend of 12 years.  Then it turns out I had a squatter in my bowel, who I now refer to as the "squatter", an unwelcome guest that has put one hell of a downer on the year - my Cancer is quite severe, having gnome already spread to my Liver, the Primary is in the Bowel which makes it more treatable, but nonetheless, I still have one hell of a battle ahead of me - I am making a video log of how each day is going, please feel free to ask questions about what the whole process is like, and what I'm using as a source of strength - I know in the coming weeks some days will be good, and some not-so, the Log officially starts tomorrow but I have an introductory video to break the ice

  • Hi Dan

Sorry your feeling down today.I get days like  that too.Yesterday was one of those for me,I felt angry for everything that's changed for what I'm going through for how it's changed my relationship with loved ones.I spent alot of hours crying.

I'm better today (slightly) I'm not a blubbering mess anyways.I can only offer my support to you and say your not alone.I Hooe you get some good news this week. For me it consists of another round of chemotherapy a new drug this time which I hear is slightly rougher.we do what we must I guess.

    Take care

Dan, it's a life changing event so unfortunately things will appear down at times. I am so sorry. I wish I could make things better for you. But if it's any comfort, we have all have been there either as a patient and/or caring for a loved one with the illness. But times do improve and good times will come again.

Awaiting answers and treatment plan can be a hard waiting game.

You have been held in the hospital environment for the last while and that in itself gives the chance to allow thinking time and with pain and symptoms it is no fun.

Hopefully things will pick up and visitors will tick you over until you can get home and be around people more often and out of the hospital environment.

The pain will get you down just now but hopefully it's going to improve very soon.
