My mam was on these tablets and she had the same problems, she used aveeno cream on her hands and her feet also, she had the bowel probs too, there wasn't much she could do with this side affect though, it was prob her biggest concern as she wouldn't leave house till she had been to the loo a few times, stay strong x
Hi morag Please tell your chemo team what is happening to you asap. They may be able to adjust your dosage or introduce medication to help with side effects. It is important that this is sorted out quickly. Max x
Hi thank you for your reply. I've had to stop taking it on Friday evening, had enough of it. Only left the house yday but that was only hour. The tablets are still in me getting to flush out of of me although I'm still having the Bowle problems which is getting more annoying. I've spent whole week on the sofa and sleeping with no energy. Loosing weight too lack of eating. For my hands LRI recommend Udder cream but only can buy off net.

Do the chemotherapy team know you have stopped taking it and have they been able to help with diarrhoea? Loperamide is brilliant and you must get this sorted x
Good advice from Max56! I am on my second cycle and coping well but my hands are dry and tight, I have had some red sunburn type tenderness on my toes and yes, I've got cramps and the trots! I told my chemo nurses at the end of my first cycle and they gave me Loperamide which has really helped for the tummy cramps and diarrhoea. I cream my hands and feet with Udderly Smooth Urea cream or Diprobase cream and I try to wear flat shoes as much as possible. I'm on 2300 mg twice daily for two weeks and then a lovely week off!
Hi yes they know, waiting to go back on next Wednesday for my appointment what to do next. Loperamide what's that? Thank you xx
