Oh, Dawniec, you were bound to feel down at some time - it's a long time to be on treatment and it is bound to catch up with you eventually.  I do hope you have friends/family to talk to.  I have only just started to feel this way after 14 months and I really dont like it, but our emotions need an outlet - after all, we are going through so much.  Come and talk to us, anytime, we are always here (frequently in the middle of the night).  With my best wishes to you.  Be strong - but not all the time! x

Hi Pauline, don't know if you remember me, but I've replied to your posts a few times since your introduction.  I have been so sad to hear that your Letrozole treatment has stopped working, and that you've had so many awful probs. with the hospital you were attending originally.  You mentioned this week that you have now changed to one in Cambridge, so I hope that the transfer is now completed and you can receive the care you deserve.  I have been thinking of you for several weeks now whilst myself undergoing a new course of chemo for recurrent ovarian ca, and I could cry for you.

Please know that I am thinking of you, just wish I could give you a big hug.

Hi,Hazel, Thank you for your lovely words, I have been very depressed of late and cannot pull myself out of it.  Although I know my records are being transferred I have no idea when I will receive an appointment at the new hospital, certainly hope it's before my pain medication stops working. 

How is your chemo going - have you had a scan yet to see how its working, life isn't fair is it!  I really hope you are coping, Hazel, and that you dont have too many side effects.

So you're still not properly transferred, why is it taking so LONG!  No wonder you feel so low, with nowhere/nobody definite to turn to, it's dreadful when you are so ill, you are just in limbo at the moment.  I repeat, I could cry for you, darling.

I've not had a scan yet post-chemo, only just had the second session, maybe after the third next month.  However, I did have one after my second op at the end of July (think I need a zipper in my poor old belly - cut in exactly the same place as three years ago) which seemed OK, plus post-op pathology results OK, so fingers crossed I have a bit longer, though doesn't do to be complacent.  I am on a different chemo this time, not so strong as 3 years ago, and so far side-effects manageable, especially now I have extra domperidone for nausea plus omeprazole for acid indigestion - they are always my worst problems, along with tiredness. When I read about yours and those of other people I think myself 'lucky' really, in comparison.

Did I read that you have a new grandchild, Pauline?  Something nice for you at least!

Sending you more v. hugs, how I wish they could be real for both of us, not had a real hug since my partner died 16 months ago.
