Chemo sufferer( post mastectomy) hello:)

Hi, my name Is Kirsty, I was diagnosed with breast cancer grade 1 DCIS in July of this year. I had a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery of my left breast on the 10th of August and was discharged on the 17th ( my 41st birthday) two days after my birthday I got the news it was in my sentinal lymph node and would require chemo. I now sit here bald, half a stone lighter with sore gritty eyes and gripped by nausea hoping to connect with those going through cancer and especially chemo.

  • Hi Jenni, thankyou for taking the time to reply to me. I found out 9 days post surgery that it had gone to my sentinal lymph node..I hope you don`t have to have chemo as we both know a mastectomy is tough enough. I opted for a fake boob, no nipple as it was full of cancer but I wanted a cleavage still. I hated having the drains in but was glad to get out of hospital. I just feel so tired and sick all the time xxx
