I just noticed you hadn't received a reply which is very unusual in our forum, but there have been so many new posts recently that as a result your post got a bit hidden. But the fact that I am responding will bump your thread back up to the top. You could also perhaps edit your title to 'Diagnosed now with bowel cancer' so that others with a bowel cancer diagnosis will be able to spot your message straight away.

I thought I would also point you in the direction of this recent thread and Meerkat@65 would be a great person for you to connect with.

There are many on the forum with a bowel cancer diagnosis that is similar to yours and I hope that coming here will make you feel less alone. It seems you feel a bit better now that you know exactly what you are dealing with. The wait for results must have been agonizing and I am glad that bogeyman that was inhabiting your brain went away. Like Lucie, I am pleased you are feeling a little better now; it's the not knowing thats so hard. You will probably feel even better once you have a treatment plan in place and the treatments start. We always feel bad waiting for tests and the results for it's only natural our brains imagine the worst scenario.

I can certainly relate to your comment about the 'bogeyman inhabiting your brain!' And as Brian says, we often feel better once we've got a treatment plan in place.

I was also diagnosed T4 N2 M0 in October 2014. The M0 was the most important factor to me as it meant it hadn't spread to any other organs. 

I had an op in November and am currently on my 5th course of Chemo out of 8, not always easy and they've had to readjust my treatment but I have managed to carry on working.
