R-CHOP completed! Anyone on Rituximab maintenance?

Hi there,

I have Follicular Lymphoma (non Hodgkin's lymphoma) and just completed 6 rounds of R-chop chemo last week and am awaiting CT scan. Seen consultant this week and she believes that I should be in remission when results come through which would be fantastic!

It seems the next part of the protocol is 2 years of maintenance chemo every 2 months (Rituximab).

Does anyone have any experience of this?

Will my hair grow back?

Will this make me feel sick?

Do you need to take further drugs/ steroids?

Thanks in advance

Rich

  • Havel just started the rutiximab injections again after a 7 month delay due to illness pneumonia which l contracted twice ,because of the chemo.  I have had 5 injections so far, with 7 to go. I have B cell  lymphoma non Hogkins. The full chemo definitely wortked but ended up in hospital 3x during the course of this because of infections. The maintenance for me is a bit iffy. Do not feel well at all after the injections. High temperature , sore throat , dry cough. Has anyone else suffered the same

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat Colin although I'm sorry you've not been feeling too good after your injections.

I'm just responding to you as I noticed you were trying to get in touch with Malinowski. This member hasn't returned to the forum since making this post back in 2019 so there is a chance you may not hear from this member or anyone else on this discussion.

I hope that isn't the case and they do return to share their experiences with you but as a back up it may be worth creating a new discussion or reaching out to others on more recent discussions.

You can also seek information and advice from Lymphoma Action.

I hope this helps and I wish you all the best with your last 2 injections. You can do it Colin

    Kind regards,
