My mum found out today stage 4 lung cancer
Hello, hope all is going well xxx, i get the results of my scan on Tuesday.... will let you know how i get on. Not expecting good news... but then i have had 2 wonderful years, so i should'nt be greedy. What will be will be.
Hi pls let me know how you get on xxx
Hello, well today i had some great news..... The cancer in my lung has slightly shrunk and my hip is still the same.
He said to stop the zolodronic acid infusions every 4 weeks and now i am only taking morphine for the pain in my hip.
The oncologist said to have a ct scan in Dec and see him in Jan.
I am really pleased with this news, my hip has hurt a lot since the radiotherapy.
I keep giving people their christmas presents now so i will have to stop doing that and think to myself i will be here for christmas ( well hope so ).
My husband is very happy, love him so much xxx
Hope you are all ok x

This website has kept me going when times are really hard.... i can take my mind off of my own woe's and spend all that energy helping some one else.
Glad to hear all is going well, keeping everything crossed for you that the scan shows shrinkage. Try and stay strong and this all will pass.

Hello, hope you have had a lovely weekend with your Mum xxx. So the next Chemo is on Thursday hope your Mum is feeling ok in herself... thats great news she is having the scan soon, then you will see the cancer shrinking away and it will give her extra will power to carry on.
Keep strong, love Deb xxx
Hi yes i hope so, we dont always get chance to spend time with mum as we ( 3 off us has to work all full time) so sometimes hard but we go when we can, and ring her all the time and take her out on our days off, bit difficult for me as i dont have a car so a 5 min journey could be 50 mins, but we all do what we can, i am going to see her on Thursday before i start work, and sit with her for a while when she has her chemo, good news for you, and i agree with you on this site, it does help
xx
Hi Deb,
Thankyou for your practical tips in this post. While it isn't immediately relevant to my friend's position, for whom I will be caring, it does explain a lot about apparently random temperature changes and levels of comfort, so I will be able to better anticipate them (I hope) when he comes home.
Regards
