HI thank you for the reply, she is having the stronger dose in two weeks, i am going with her to the local hospital, not really sure about it all but at least they are doing something quick, might be about 4 lots of treatment then if not radio, but one stage at a time, xx
Thats great, good luck with the Chemo xxx Love Deb
Hi whats the chemo treatment like, as i we are not sure what to expect, but i know everyone is different and everycase is different. I have read all the side effects
I have not had Chemo yet..... i had a trial tablet for 2 years as my first line of treatment. This stopped working in June and since then i have had Radiotherapy, this was on my hip and also my lung.... In October i go back and see if i can have chemo.
Have a lovely weekend with your mum, spoil her with lots of hugs and kisses.

Hope all is going well, has the chemo started? x
Hi it starts this Thursday, but she has a lot of prepatration before then, me and my sister are going with her as she has to be in all day, and all very scary, she is proun to infections so i am trying to get rid of this cold before then, how are you? x
Thats great news x Chemo starts on Thursday.
What lovely Daughters to both go with your Mum.
I have a 4 weekly infusion in the Chemo room, Zolodronic Acid This helps strengthen my bones. My treatment is very short 30 mins or so but i do see people who have to have long treatments and after reading the paper and having a chat they seem to just be looking around at others or shutting their eyes and having a sleep, with the two of you i am sure that you will have lots of stuff to talk about and also get into conversation with others who may also have the same kind of cancer and treatments as your Mum.
I know they hospital try to make the chemo room nice and some have telly or radios to have some background noise, I think if you take a light thin type of blanket/shawl to cover her lap/legs it would be a nice comforting extra, then if your Mum has a snooze she will be all cosy.... just a thin one though cos it can be warm after a while. Well good luck with Thursday, the start of getting your Mum some help x Thinking of you all, love Deb xxx
Well just wanted to say good luck for tomorrow, hope your mum gets some sleep tonight and all goes well tomorrow xxx I am having a ct tomorrow to see whats going on. Thinking of you all, love Deb xxx

Hi pls let me know how you get on xxx
Hello, well today i had some great news..... The cancer in my lung has slightly shrunk and my hip is still the same.
He said to stop the zolodronic acid infusions every 4 weeks and now i am only taking morphine for the pain in my hip.
The oncologist said to have a ct scan in Dec and see him in Jan.
I am really pleased with this news, my hip has hurt a lot since the radiotherapy.
I keep giving people their christmas presents now so i will have to stop doing that and think to myself i will be here for christmas ( well hope so ).
My husband is very happy, love him so much xxx
Hope you are all ok x

Hi yes i hope so, we dont always get chance to spend time with mum as we ( 3 off us has to work all full time) so sometimes hard but we go when we can, and ring her all the time and take her out on our days off, bit difficult for me as i dont have a car so a 5 min journey could be 50 mins, but we all do what we can, i am going to see her on Thursday before i start work, and sit with her for a while when she has her chemo, good news for you, and i agree with you on this site, it does help
