Hi guys, you all seem to bow what you are talking about in regards to ovarian cancer so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the next steps would be.
So far I have had tumour marker blood tests and ultrasound internal and external. Am now waiting for appointment to see specialist gynaecologist and would like to know what to expect them to do as my hospital is a bit crap!! Don't want them to tell me one thing and they should really be doing something else
Any advise would be greatly appreciated
Sue
Hi everyone,
Jackie, I haven't seen it this quiet either, I am still struggling with the cold but getting there I think lol. Had chemo on Friday, now I have a rest week which I am looking forward to. Sorry you are still having problems with your eyes, my symptoms are less severe since they put me on weekly dosage. They want me to have a PICC as they have problems trying to put the canular in and I am thinking about it lol.
I wrote to Eileen and she sends her love to all, she will post when she can.

Hi Sue,
glad to see you posted but sorry you have to be here.
You seem to be on track with your Doctors, I had the ultrasound etc then met with the onco/gynaecologist. I was sent for a ctscan which gives them a better idea of what they are looking at. I know it is daunting waiting to see what is going to happen. Not all hospitals follow the same routine, so don't get worried if you don't have the same treatment.
What information have you been given so far from the scans you have had?
Try and stay positive, yes it is hard.......and ask lots of questions when you get to speak with Docs again.

Hi Sharon, thanks for your reply, that has helped me understand a bit more what migt happen. I've already had a hysterectomy but they left my ovaries because it is supposed to be better for me ( ha ha) so that won't be so bad for me then if I have to have an op. Thanks again.

Hi Rose,
sorry to hear you haven't been well, sharing isn't all it is cracked up to be lol. Great to see you post
Eileen is home now, she had a few problems but seems to be getting there now, early days for her, she said she will post when she can.

Hi dot, thanks for your reply.
I have been told that it's 5x4x3cm so I suppose its not huge. And that's it! I have received my appointment this morning, it's on Tuesday and they want me to have another ultrasound beforehand.
I guess not long to wait now till they hopefully start sorting me out!
I'll post after my appointment to let u know what they said and what they r gonna do next.
I think its really gonna help me having you guys here as the other half is not very good at this kinda stuff.
Thanks
Sue (duracell)
Sue it is great they are dealing with you so quickly!!
It is hard for our families, they worry about us and it isn't easy for them to deal with, on here we can put our worries and someone is always there to reassure or cheer us up.
Hopefully you will know more on Tuesday, it is always the not knowing that is so frustrating.

hi Ladies and welcome Sue
Glad to hear all are well (ish), great relief to hear from you all! Dot had forgotten you were on weekly doses, PICC got to be easier than cannulas, I couldn't have one because of risk of clotting
G;ad to hear Eileen doing well. Poor Rose you need to teach her what to share and what to keep
Will check in Sue and see whats happening post Tues
Sorry to be brief but light bulb blown and can't be bothered to change it! I thought these new energy saving ones were supposed to last for years.......................
Check in soon
Love to all
