I was diagnosed with Cancer in March and although we knew it was Cancer its still a shock to be told it. I have had 2 chemo cycles now and have my 3rd at the end of the month. I would love to chat about the chemo side affects to anyone..

my story so far is thus.............. my periods had gone a bit haywire , but had been doing so for 3 years so the doctor decided to send me to the hospital, just o be safe. had a pipelle??? biopsy, internal and external scans and various tumour markering blood tests, it was this point that the doctor told me that i was at a pre cancer clinic , not a bleeding clinic as i had been told by my GP! A week or so after was admitted to hosp for pain relief. The consultant ( a different on to the one i had seen in clinic ( meet me and hid first words were " ah yes , your my urgent cancer refferal! " As ypu can imagine i just turned off from this point in a state of shock but my other half tells me that he went on to say but i dont think you are. Anyway, went home, and was concerned as i had not had a follow up appointment so rang the hosp and the consultant (from clinc) said to meet him on the ward the following day. He said that the biopsy (of the uterus) was fine but they had found a 10x9x5cm growth on my cyst which he would try and remove bu keyhole, but he would wait for the tumour markering results and call me if there was a prob. a week after i recieved an appointment for a CT scan , which i thought was strange as no one had talked of having one. Rang the consultants secretary who greeted me with" oh your not having your op here your going to Derby you should of had a letter," she read the letter to me and it said i had been referred as one of the results from the tumour marking was slightly raised. Nobody has actually said i have cancer yet but all health professional treating me with kid gloves( its lovely ) . had app come through now from derby hosp but have never recieved the letter from original hosp. never mind. have to go for the CT scan on monday and then app with new consultant is on the 1st of oct. i suppose they will do the tests again, what do you think,? sorry if this rambles a bit
I feel like I have been on a roller coaster ride after reading that message. Not because you have rambled but the whole thing.. I get so annoyed with some Hospitals and staff the way they treat patients, I am lucky as I have had great Nurses, Doctors, and not forgetting Domestics , who do a great job, and they are so caring. I can honestly say there is only 1 nurse I didn't like in the whole 8 month.
