Hi all,
Well I had my scan yesterday but unfortunately I had severe runs so I couldn't hang around to see the Dr. I have an appointment for next Thursday 8th to see him in clinic & then he will have seen the scan result... Not sure why I had the runs but I still have it today.
Good luck for your chemo tomor Dot & for the 17th. I am still not great and keep feeling sick. Do any of you get it ? I am afraid my knees are still bad and don't see them improving either. I am contemplating getting a stick but then I think I will start to depend on it...
We are moving at the end of the month, so looking forward to that as the house is lovely and alot warmer than this old cottage.
Jackie I have missed some of your messages so will read them now... Still not seen my Grandaughter as now up to it. She will be at school at this rate before I go...
Love to all Eileen. xxxxx:love:
Hi all
Eileen sorry about your upset tum, I can't think of anything worse!! Do you take loperamide? I take it before chemo otherwise I wouldn't be able to go. You are still having a dreadful time of it!!
I felt sick but I took the tablets they gave me and so far I have been ok. I have two lots to take for three days, but one pack says to take if feeling sick, I continue with them until I feel ok. (There are more of them). I still have no energy and my legs feel like lead. The vein in my hand is like an undercooked piece of spaghetti lol.......oh the joys of it all.......... I am really not looking forward to tomorrow, why are these hospitals never on the doorstep lol.
Moving house, something for you to look forward to and just at the right time if the cottage isn't warm, the weather will soon be much colder.
I can only hope that things will get better for you, it is so wearing.
Hope everyone else is ok.
Love Dot xxxxxxx

Hi Rose,
thanks for thinking of me, the chemo is part of the package, seems not many get away without some discomfort, I could think of better things to do in London tomorrow lol.
stay well
Love Dot xx
Hi Ladies
Dot- hope everything went ok for you today and your not to bad over the next week, hang in there your half way though!!!!!!!!! Will be thinking of you on the 17th.
Eileen - good luck with the house move, it will be nice to be somewhere both new and warmer! Sorry to hear about the tum, I do find the contrast with the ct scan can do that but it normally settles quick (next day). Hope you continue to improve and get some good news next week.
I to had CT yesterday but won't get the results till next Fri, I not expecting them to be bad Rose as my muscles have improved so it must be working! Mouth looks like its about to come back on-line thou its still a bit sore at the mo. Have had a good week energy wise so fingers crossed for next week which would mean the triedness from last time was a one off! Seem to be bleeding nicely at the moment so shouldn't have to worry about clots for another few weeks! Not posting that much at present as I find my eyes are very watery and I get headaches if I use the computer, this seems to have been a problem since the second dose and I don't really know whats causing it (apart from the obvious chemo!), will try and remember to discuss it next Fri lol.
Long time since we heard from Jayne I do so hope and pray she's ok.
Best of luck to all
Jackie xxxxxx
Hi all,
it was a long day yesterday, seems the lab was very busy had to wait two and a half hours for the results of bloods, all in all I was there nine hours lol. My husband took the car this time and managed to park but was only allowed four hours and not to return to any of the bays in that section, he had to move three times, we went through the congestion zone and had to pay that, but they said we may be able to claim some back. We didn't mind as taking the car was half the price of a taxi and we had the comfort of our own car, it also kept hubby busy lol.
I asked about my sore scalp and I have an infection in the hair follicles, I now have cream for that.
I have a very dry mouth this time, kicked in last night, nothing else much at the moment.
Jackie I hope your eyes sort themselves out, I had that for a short while last time and I too can't sit at the computer for very long, but mainly because of the aching legs lol I sound like a hypochondriac.
Eileen Rose and anyone I have missed hope you are hanging in there. I do worry about Jayne too Jackie, it is a very long time since we heard from her.
Love to all xxxxxxxx
Hi Dot & Ladies,
You poor thing its bad enough having to go to these places but having the hassle trying to park is a pain. I have a blue badge now as I can't walk far. You should get one as you / we all need as much help as we can get. Speaking of help There is a fantastic Cancer Care organisation here in Cardigan its run by a Lady who lost her husband when he was in his 30s, its over 20 years ago and she does great work with about 6 other ladies.
I hope this treatment isn't to bad on you. I am still feeling sick after 6 weeks and very low most days. I just said to my partner I am fed up with complaining but when they ask how you are you tell them. ( I suppose I should say I am ok ) I don't know about all of you but the road to recovery seems to be getting longer. Sorry for moaning Dot as you are having it tougher than me.
Anyway Jackie hope your eyes get better and Rose hope you are doing ok. Sorry if I forgot anyone and Love to you all.. Eileen xxxxxx
Dear Eileen,
I think you are having a rough deal and I have nothing compared to what you are going through, I have small irritations but whining about them often helps lol, there is no way that you should keep these things away from others thinking you are moaning, the fact you are having trouble walking shows what a bad time you are having. I hope things start looking up for you, like you said in your mail the road does seem to be getting longer but we do what we have to do.
I know I don't have a very good prognosis but you know my state of health at the moment doesn't give me cause to worry, I will hear more after the ctscan but have decided I will go off how I am feeling and not what they are saying, lol call me an ostrich if you like lol.
I am hoping you are now on the mend Eileen, you deserve it after all the strugging.
Lots of love Dot xxxxxxxxx
