Trodelvy followed by Enhertu - anyone had experience?

Hi,

I'm new to the forums.

I have secondary breast cancer with mets in skin and lung.

I have recently been on Trodelvy for 3 cycles but the scan showed it hadn't helped, and I now have mets in the liver as well.  My oncology consultant is recommending that I go onto Enhertu. I tolerated Trodelvy well, with only minimal GI issues in cycle 1, and tiredness.  I am worried about the side effects of Enhertu and wonder if anyone has been on Trodelvy and then Enhertu, and what your experience was like?

Thanks in advance for any comments :)

  • Hello Cally28 and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.

I'm sorry to hear that your secondary breast cancer has now moved in to your liver and that the Trodelvy hasn't helped. This must be very difficult and it's understandable to be nervous about trying something new, especially when you're worried about the possible side effects, but maybe you could give it a go for a bit and see how you get on. Just like with the Trodelvy, you may find you also tolerate Enhertu quite well and experience little to no side effects but if you do experience any that become unmanageable you can always let you medical team know and they can take you off it.

Hopefully some of our members who have had Enhertu will stop by soon to share their experiences and advice but if it would help to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. With their knowledge and insight they will do all they can to address your concerns and put your mind at ease.

Do let us know how you get on Cally28, we'll have our fingers crossed everything goes o.k and it's successful in keeping your cancer under control.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
