Poor you it sounds like you are having a really difficult time and I am so sorry to hear that the stoma team are living over an hour away from you - have they given you a phone number you can ring if you can't get there easily so that you can get some advice? 

There is useful information on our website on having an ileostomy and in particular I would recommend you have a look at our section on coping with a stoma.

Don't hesitate too to give our cancer nurses a call if there is anything you would like to talk through with them - you can call their free helpline on 0808 800 4040 and it is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. 

I also hope that you will hear from other members of our community who are in a similar position and are having to live with a stoma - they will understand better than anyone the struggles you are currently facing. 

I hope that you manage to see or speak to someone from the stoma team and that things improve quickly for you.
