Hi I just wondered if it is legal to drive if you are taking tramadol or morphine for your cancer pain? I never really thought about it but someone mentioned it and I wondered if anybody knew the answer.
Thanks Lee

Hi Lee
I hope life is being kind to you and you are enjoying taking your dogs out for their walk. Yes you can legally drive with prescription morphine or tramadol providing you feel it does not impair your ability to drive and you only take the recommended dose. This also applies to things like hayfever remedies which can make you drowsy.
Ed
Hi Ed, thank you for that . I dont feel that my driving is impaired by the tramadol. Yes I am still walking my pooches every day. Had MRI today to check for spinal cord compression as been having a few problems. Hopefully it will be okay (fingers crossed). How are you getting on with the denosumab, hopefully not too many side effects. Have you been pricking out any vegetables lately? Take care Ed.

Hi Lee
Im pleased that you are still ok to drive and that your care team are looking after you well with upcoming scans and pain management. I too have got a scan appointment to check the progression of the cancer. Denosumab has not given me any side effects over the existing rash and tiredness that cemiplimab causes. No pricking out plants just now but eating healthily from the vegetable garden. Mange tout peas, new potatoes, broad beans, cabbage, lettuce, cucumber, courgettes, calabrese broccoli, sweet peppers and fresh herbs making homemade basil pesto later today. We also keep 10 hens and have a constant supply of fresh eggs with bright orange yolks. Hopefully a good diet helps with dealing with cancer. Ill keep my fingers crossed for you too for your scan results.
Ed
Hi Ed,
I just wanted to say that your diet sounds brilliant. I just had my first crop of new potatoes which were delicious. Cancer certainly makes you rethink what you put in your mouth!
I went for my 2nd opinion appointment today and the lady doctor was brilliant. Only option is surgery. So that is what we shall do, 3/7.
i may need to pick your brains for ideas to extend the vegetable garden…
All the best …
HI Britething
Wish you the best possible outcome for your surgery next week. Gardening in general and growing some of your own food is very satisfying and therapeutic. The excercise and fresh air are good for both physical and mental health. You can still sow carrots broccoli cabbage pak choi beetroot lettuce swede bush french beans spring onions chard kale. If you can get hold of plants leeks purple sprouting broccoli kale winter cabbage can be transplanted. Happy gardening
Ed
