I hope this information we have about treatment for oesophageal cancer and how to manage diet problems, including what makes swallowing easier with oesophageal cancer, will help address some of your concerns but our cancer nurses are available on 0808 800 4040 if it would help to talk things through with them. They'll be back in the office from Tuesday onwards, between 9a.m - 5p.m

We do have quite a few members within our community who have been on this journey so now that I've replied, you hopefully won't have to wait too long to hear about their experiences and gain some valuable insight and advice.

The one thing I can say with certainty is that trusting your medics is paramount. They have dealt with innumerable people with your symptoms. Just keep thinking that you’ll be fine. I did and I was and am.  Good luck and stay positive

It's not knowing how or when am I going to fie

I remember feeling the same way and asking myself the same question. A natural response methinks. Then I begin to think ‘ maybe’ I’ll live?’ And I did… and still wonder if that mindset helped me to do just that.
I reckon that at least 60% of my recovery was and is mental. I want to keep going. And I’m 76 next month. Yes I’m terminal , but aren’t we all?
