Hi

i just had surgery on the 21st feb for a tumour on my tongue and been advised that it spread to my neck nods and nerve .    I was being fed by tube in the hospital and struggled to eat.but I improved well when I got home

Now I am about to have 6 weeks 5 days per week of radiotherapy which I am scared I will go back 10 steps especially about the eating do not won’t to end back in hospital being tube fed 

I am a female age 67 and never had any illness until I retired a year ago .

if anyone has gone through the same would be interested how you got on

Hi i can understand your worry re feeding tube.I myself have to have radiotherapy for throat cancer and I am petrified of the side effects! Dont want tube fed either as had it previously another surgery not related but found it awful.I hope you get on okay and I will look out for your posts so can possibly compare with yourself.good luck I start radiotherapy 2nd june !
