  • Hello Sim82 and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.

Hopefully some of our members who have taken Capox will stop by soon to share their experiences and advice but I hope this information we have about Capox and its side effects will help in the meantime.

If you'd like to discuss any worries or concerns with one of our cancer nurses, you can do so on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. and they will do all they can to put your mind at ease about starting your treatment.

We're sending you all our support Sim and wishing you all the best for Friday.

    Kind regards,

  • I assume you've had your first round of chemo now? I hope it went well. The team should have explained possible side effects and what to look out for.

I found the side effects to be cumulative and in the end did not finish the course. Do make note of any side effects you experience and be sure to let the hospital team know everything. Doses can be adjusted if necessary.

    Good luck to you.

Hi , yes I did have it yesterday, it was alright, except for the electrics shock pain in the arm where the IV was in . Cold affect my hands ....and the first bite I take when eating gives me jaw pain which I was warned about...but after is ok. No nausea as if yet...will see what comes as the treatment progresses.

Thank you for your reply and advices and I hope you are all clear now.

    Best of wishes
