Hi Buffey73 I was diagnosed with peritoneal cancer in May 2024, (reoccurrence-ovarian cancer) Is there anything you would like to ask me? :)
Hello there so you've had this since May last year so how are you coping with it ?what have you had medically to help ? :)
I got diagnosed then had to do 6 rounds of pacitaxel & carboplatin. Then I asked if it was operable, they decided it was and in December 2024 had further debulking surgery, so removal of tumour and nodule on my colon. Now I'm waiting on PARP inhibitors, as I'm homoglobus recombination deficient. I'm okay so far, but debating on PARPS.
Can I ask how old you are ?
You may......55. 1st diagnosis i was 50.
What about you Buffey73 when did you get diagnosed and what have you had?
I'm 73 got told Nov at moment on chemo carbo platinum 6 sessions ,coming 3 Rd end this month .fingers x it works ,doctor hintered on surgery but narrrr to old .if I get 2 or 3 years I'll be happy .if I had been young maybe different. How are you feeling about it all ?
Has spread to the whole of the peritoneum? So just on carboplatin? Ummm I'm angry that they didn't tell me that I was HRD positive, at the beginning. But I'm living life like I want to. Glad it's removed though.
Keep fighting it. Hope chemo is not too hard on you.
