I have found the varying reactions of my friends very interesting. My immediate family, wife and two daughters, have been amazing - supportive, empathetic and caring. Others, some have been good, regularly asking how I’m getting on and asking, sone have avoided any contact almost as if having lung cancer is contagious! Also, I do get sick of people saying “you look so well”, as if my cancer is fictitious! I guess they are trying to be positive but ask me how I feel don’t tell me. 
aAlso, it seems like everybody knows somebody else who has cancer and needs to tell me about them!
