Hi, my name is Stephen and I was diagnosed with skin cancer in January 2020 which also coincided with the covid outbreak, at first I thought it was a cold sore that wouldn't clear up and after numerous biopsies was given the outcome.
I had my first operation a week after my diagnosis but unfortunately it had spread to my glands and ended up in further complications more surgery and chemo and radium treatment, of which it was a great success and I have now been clear of cancer for over 2 years.
My problem now, is the damage the radium has done to my lower jaw, I have already had two operations for this over the last year and now I face reconstruction surgery to my lower jawbone.
Has anyone gone through this type of operation? I would be grateful for anyone's experiences of what happens
Thanks
Stephen
