Living with breast cancer treatment

I’m just recovering from my second operation for breast cancer.  I was diagnosed with DCIS following breast screening,  I’m now hoping I won’t need a third operation before I can start radiotherapy. Today was a sunny day in more than one way. I enjoyed a bit of gardening. It helped take my mind off my next results clinic appointment.
Hoping for another sunny day tomorrow

To everyone out there however your journey is going I wish you all the best.

    I hope you've had a few more sunny days, in more than one way, since sharing your update with us over the weekend. 

    It's understandable that you're feeling anxious ahead of your next appointment. Hopefully, when you see the team they will be in a position to give you some reassurance about your results and how your treatment will move forward. 

    We know that for many people, waiting for appointments can be a difficult time. It can often help to talk things through with someone and I wonder if you might find it useful to chat with one of our nurses ahead of seeing the Consultant. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice and support they can. If you'd like to talk with them they're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

    Thank you so much for your support.

    As it turns out I did manage to see my cancer care nurse and the surgeon who did my last operation today.

    If I need any help from one of the nurses in the days ahead I would not hesitate to call.

    Thank you once again for thinking of me.
