Hello Damagedsoul, I also have mets breast cancer, spread to my lungs and lymph nodes.  Have you tried asking MacMillan about grants for beds?  They are very good at helping out with this sort of thing.  I assume you have a Palliative care team?  You could also ask them if there is any help you can get.  They will also be able to advise you about getting help from housing about your need for a smaller place.  Good luck, and very sorry to hear about your diagnosis, xx

Get intouch with mediquip,they supplied a Bed and other equipment, to help make my partner  last few months as comfortable as they could .

Hi again , They do not sell to you  you loan the the equipment untill no longer needs ,but you need a referral from you're GP ,please have a look on their Web site ,Medequip uk.

Hi Damagedsoul. I’m so sorry about your diagnosis. I’m not sure about the bed situation but I’ve found my local hospice palliative care team to be brilliant, on a whole range of things. They’ve really helped with my bad sleeping and definitely have experts to help with housing, finances and medication, as well as complementary therapies.  I had a look for Sheffield-based hospices and St Luke’s came up - https://www.stlukeshospice.org.uk. Maybe they could help? Good luck with everything, I know how much bad sleep can affect absolutely everything so I feel for you. Xx
