Waiting for scan results is always a worrying time. Have you been told how long you are likely to have to wait for the results? Can you tell us a little more about yourself, your symptoms and type of scan? This will hopefully bring others who are in a similar position along to chat to you.

Hi Sharon How you doing? I was diagnosed with a suspected malignant deep seated mass in the clavicle area. Over a 4 week period I had the usual blood tests, biopsy, lung function test plus scan. Has to week approx two weeks from the last scan before getting results. Please keep using this chat room and let people help you through the wait. Bless you
I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer. With the first, I was taking Tamoxifen after my lumpectomy, but I had a second bout within a year. Because it had grown with the Tamoxifen, I then had a double mastectomy and changed to Letrozole for 6 and a half years. That was all 14 years ago and I still lead a busy and fulfilling life. Has your care team mentioned any other treatments for you? This is usually what happens.

I can fully understand how you feel. Don't look too far ahead. Try to take things one day at a time, or even hour by hour if need be. Has your consultant discussed any further treatment with you yet, or where have you been left?
