Coping

My husband is coping worse with my diagnosis than myself.. I'm finding that hard ..any advice

  • Hi RAC, just wondered if your husband would consider joining this forum. He could maybe connect with other people who are supporting their partners through this difficult time. Xx

  • Hi RAC, having been both carer and cared for with cancer i honestly couldn't tell you which is the most difficult. Being told you have cancer is very difficult to process for you and your partner. I take it as you said diagnosis that your treatment has yet to start, which is always the toughest time emotionally. Once treatment does start things do get a little easier, The things that worked for us was to be open with each other, and not bottling things up and trying to be as normal as possible and to do the things you both enjoy, especially anything physical A positive attitude can be helpful too. Everyone has off days it's normal, so is having a cry which does help emotionally. take care.
