This is such a tough time for all of you. I'm sure you're offering her all your support and love. Don't forget to care for yourself too.

As far as practical suggestions go, have you found the "Look Good Feel Better" website ? They offer online courses including skin care, make up, hair care and wigs etc which are both practical and uplifting. I can thoroughly recommend them.

My local John Lewis is one the stores that offers health clinics, beauty tips, wig styling etc, might be worth checking if there's one close to you that offers it too. My local Macmillan centre offers similar things too, as well as complimentary therapies, massages and so on. I've personally found the feeling that cancer and treatment is taking over my life, and the loss of identity, to be very hard. I'm not usually into pampering type things, but it has helped me to feel a bit more human again, a bit more like my old self.

Other things that have brought some joy recently, a mushroom growing kit. Was lovely seeing something so alive, so quickly. Plus the mushrooms were delicious! Going somewhere pretty to see the sunset has cheered me, and seems to help a little with sleep.
