Mood getting low

Hi all, this is my first time posting. I was diagnosed with stage lung cancer in June last year. At first I had a really positive attitude and was determined to live everyday. Over the last few months I have lost the positivity and am feeling increasingly low in mood. I had been treated with a combination of immunotherapy and chemotherapy. In December it was decided to stop the chemo part as I kept developing neutropenic sepsis. I missed my immuno appointment this week due to a tummy bug and am now feeling anxious that I may have put myself back. I am really starting to struggle with anxiety and low mood. Anyone else get feelings like this and has anyone had problems with neutropenia.

  • Hi Joanne

I am probably not much help to you but just wanted to say you are not alone, I had cancer 3 yrs ago its Melanoma, I had a toe removed and no other treatment so I concentrated on healing the wound and got back to normal, but  now its returned on the original site plus my lung and lymph node, i am currently on immunotherapy with only a 30% chance of helping. My mood is constantly up and down as I can no longer walk as far, I try not to think of the future but I do keep thinking of what is to come. I do hope you have family to support you, I am alone and of course being over 70 dosent help. I do hope you can find some help. x
