Hello am 40 have dcis in one breast am booked in for a mastectomy in January it’s all becoming to much am upset and scared I had lumpectomy which failed now this is my only option xx am just looking for someone to talk to a friend if anything xx
I am 42 just diagnosed last week and booked in for a lumpectomy (I think) towards the end of January. You can talk to me although I won’t have a lot of knowledge as I just started posting on here just after diagnosis.

Hello nice to meet u I had mag seeds put in so they knew the areas to take away my surgeon was amazing and reconstructed my own breast gave it a lift it looks amazing scar down the front and around the nipple but they r war wounds am single so I was bothered but not now anyone would except me scars and all xx how r u feeling ? Some days am good and positive and some days not but that’s ok it’s a process I had two areas removed so they took half a cup size I can feel my nipple but have some numbness near the scars am told is normal and will come Back in time xx the recovery was good I wore a sports bra that zips at the front u will live in that for a few weeks the pressure helps so u don’t swell it helps with the pain too xx worse part is being off work lol I’ve been off 4 months now xx u will wait 3/4 weeks after to get ur results back and a plan going forward don’t think ahead take it one day at a time please xx and am always here for u xx
Hi, ye I am o.k at the moment. Just hoping for the best really. Hoping all goes how they said it might. Just another 10days to wait till I find out the plan :) I just want it out so I can get on with recovering.
At the moment I feel uninterested in scars and genuinely don’t care. My husband isn’t bothered just wants me sorted.
just waiting that’s hard really .
I don’t know if I said, my son got diagnosed with lymphoma last June (he’s 6) so he is the priority really. He will be in treatment till Oct 2026.
my treatment will hopefully be sorted in the next few months. I have been off work since last June! Need to get back! Miss my job. Hopefully my son will get back school February time. ️:)
