Ongoing worry and anxiety

I’ve not been on this chat for quite some time as I was coping well and all scans going well!!! However last Friday I was at the day unit because I was feeling breathless and was given a CT scan to determine if there was any blood clots, there was none but then a few days later I received a call to say that they have seen a few lesions on my spine! They think that this may be haemangioma but further MRI is required due to my cancer status!! This has just set me back to the very beginning when I was first told that I had breast cancer!! I have myself diagnosed with bone cancer….trying to be strong and positive but the anxiety is horrendous!!!

Cancer journey is just awful!! The mental part is probably the worst for me!!

  • Hi Leanne, I'm really sorry to hear about the lesions that have been found on your spine.

I know this must be a very worrying and stressful time but the Cancer Chat community are here for you and I'm sure you will receive some support and advice from our members soon.

As you say, waiting for results and the anxiety that comes with it, isn't very nice but I hope some of the advice given in this article as well as the tips you can find for managing anxiety on the NHS Every Mind Matters website will help make things a little more manageable at this time.

We're thinking of you Leanne and will have our fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
