Avastin and weight gain

Hi all

I am currently on Avastin treatment and waiting on a scan which is due next week. I just wanted to ask has anyone put on a lot of weight quickly and a lot of bloating while on Avastin. This is really worrying me especially as my stomach is very high and bloated all of a sudden

Hi Dowd,
I am sorry to hear this. I am not a doctor, but I understand that Avastin can cause weight gain. Do you have a specialist cancer nurse, who you can contact for advice? If not, please contact your GP and see what s/he suggests.
I sincerely hope that your scan next week goes well.

I just had the results of a scan and they have found something on my original site but cant say what it is. I will be having another scan and maybe a biopsy. Has anyone else had a scan where they tbought their cancer was back but it turned out negative. Im really worried as I only finished chemo in November and am on Avastin since. Im trying to be positive
