I'm sorry to hear about your Mum's diagnosis and that she had some problems tolerating the treatment that she was recently given. It's understandable that you're struggling with the uncertainty of what lies ahead. 

It can be difficult sometimes for the specialists to give an idea about time frames. It's generally only a best guess based on their experience but ultimately every patient is different. Has the team suggested any other treatment to try and help manage things for her? Hopefully they will be able to make sure that your Mum is as comfortable as possible. 

We know that many people find it beneficial to talk things through with someone and I wonder if you might find it helpful to chat with our team of nurses. I'm sure they will be happy to lend a listening ear and offer any advice and support that they can. Hi, thank you for replying to my post, the oncologists are really busy at the moment so they can't fit her in at the moment. She has seen her GP today and has been put on morphine for some pain relief. I think I would really benefit talking to someone for a bit of support face to face, do you know of any that are in person? 

If there's a Maggies in the town/city connected to the treating hospital, they do face to face meetings.
