Hi, I did sometimes get taste changes when on chemo, sometimes food tasted 'metallic' and other times some foods didn't taste like they usually did, but I nver lost all taste. This did however happen when I recently got covid. Perhaps it's worth doing a lateral flow test to rule this out?
Hi alot depends on type chemo, alot of food tastes like cardboard, strong food tastes better as ginger ale and such to drink.,beware of live culture in yogurt and citrus fruit it can react and come back.
Good luck with your treatment.

Hi, no thankfully not covid, I'm testing three times a weekand that's ok, still negative. Maybe I've been lucky up to now, three chemos down and feeling pretty ok until this week.
Just seems strange to lose taste now
Depending on the type of chemo you're on it can be accumulative so some side effects might not appear at first but could appear, or get worse, the more chemo cycles you have. I definitely felt worse by the 4th cycle than I did with the earlier ones. As with any new side effect that appears during chemo it's best to contact your nurse or chemo team to let them know if you have any concerns. Hope the rest of your treatment goes well.
