Ureter cancer now spread to bladder

Ureter tumour removed July 2021. Follow up chemotherapy from November 2021 to January 2022.

CAT scan clear.

Had check up cystoscopy last week and discovered three tumours in bladder.

Consultant planning to shave these off next week.

Very disappointed with current situation as chemotherapy was based on a successful trial.

Wondering what other surprises could show up in different locations.

  • Celia i do understand believe me i have the same feelings and thoughts. But he is here and with you and not in hospital and he has eaten .That's what i put into my head every day and keep it there and that is what you should do. Ronnie is deaf. He had meningitis when he was 2 and was in an isolation ward for nearly 2 years and his mother wasn't allowed to pick him up and it took the hearing from his left ear and he only has 45% in his right. So i am very protective of him and that's why i go everywhere with him because he never here's the full conversation. So i really do know what your feeling about John but he hasn't got long to go and it will be over before you know it. Stay strong for him and watch the booze. I am here any time you wont to rant

    Love Sylvie xx

  • Thank you you are a sweetheart I'm very protective of John who altho isnt as deaf as Ronnie does have noise induced hearing loss Plus there are just the 2 of us and like you and Ronnie we have been together for many years A neighbour popped round to ask if we would feed Henry their cat tomorrow as they are at a wedding  and she stayed and had a glass of wine then her husband appeared and had one so I didn't finish the bottle

Just a blip today already feeling better thanks to you

When John had his ct scan they I injected frusemide not sure if I've spelled it right it's a diuretic and he spent as he said 12 hours peeing for England Might be worth checking if its in with Ronnie's stuff just in case

Take care My devout Catholic friend is doing Novena's to St Jude for John so I've asked her to add Ronnie Hope that's ok

    Love Celia xx

  • So pleased you didn't finish the bottle. I used to drink straight lambs navy rum with ice in my younger days and it has given me an ulcer so i cant drink any more. I met Ronnie in a working mans club. It was his second home. His life was work and the club every day of the week. My sister said come down to the club there's a lovely man with big blue eyes.  So i went down to have a look and the rest is history. We went out together for 4 years because i was waiting for a divorce from a twerp i married and had enough of after 22 month. 46 years this year later and i still love those big blue eyes. My mam used to say he had come to bed eyes. Stay cool tomos and give your John some extra hugs  Thanks for the thought  of the some praying. I am not a religious person but each to there own. We all need some sort of belief in this world. I just thank the very people that keep us alive and have the knowledge to make us better. What would we do without them.

    Love Sylvie.

  • I met John at a wedding I knew the bride John the groom. how corny When I told my mum I had a date with an usher she said not the one in the shiny suit Er yes shiny suits were fashionable in 1966 She did come to love him once she knew him We were married at the same church 2 years later with  our friends as best man and matron of honour

I still have my wedding dress and John has his shoes they were 7 guines's He occasionally wears them with his dinner suit or to funerals!

We are lucky we have keepers

    love celia x

  • I would hate to think i was having to find a husband in this day and age. There all up there own ars....

They spend more time in the bathroom than anyone. We watch first dates on the tv and laugh like hell at some of them. They haven't got a clue how to treat a woman. My Ronnie is a true gentleman. He still opens the door for me and helps me with my coat. I love the way he treats me and not like the twerp before. I just wish i had met him first. Then we would have had more years together. But you know what they say " it always comes to them that wait"

Off to my bed it's been a long day and i might sleep a bit better tonight know that Ronnie has finished his corse. I will ask about the dye next Thursday to see if there are any side effects and  let you know.

    Love Sylvie

  • Hi Celia

Just got back from the hospital and he had ct with contrast on his wait for it

    urinary tract

    abdomen

    pelvis

    thorax

He was in and out in 10 mins. He got 2 letters and they did the lot all in one scan.

    That's another one over with.

How long did you have to wait till you found out about John's ct outcome and who did you see. Was it the main man or the guy that does the scans.

No one seams to tell you.anything and if i am not with him i don't find anything out and they wouldn't let me in. I don't think he even tell them he is deaf.

    Peed of with it all.

Keep me informed about John tomos

    Love Sylvie
