  • Hi there ...

One thing I've learned after my breast masectomy in 2017, it never leaves you, it sits on our shoulder and with every bad ache and pain, rings little alarm bells ... just reminding us it's there ...

So many feel guilty thinking we should be on cloud 9 after a while, where in truth the memories are always there when we don't expect them ... so be kind to yourself and know it's o.k not to feel o.k sometimes ... and though people think they can understand, till you've been through the cancer journey it's not the same, in my opinion...

So hold on, try and tell yourself it's normal to feel like that ... Chrissie x

  • Thanks .I've finished 21 bcg treatments for the bladder cancer .with no reoccurrence. But I've been getting a lot of anxiety with a lot of heartburn pain between shoulder blades .just wondering if others get the same .torture

  • Hi coz62

i think going thru this trauma is bound to have lasting effects. I am into my 5th year now and hoping to get my all clear this November .

I still have a lot of anxiety and I'm more forgetful than I was before my diagnosis. Some of my family members have said how I've changed. But you can't go thru cancer and bounce back the same as you were .
it's a day at a time situation and you can't help how you feel or what mood swings you have . I hope you are coping . It helps talking about it . Have you spoke to your gp ?
    sending you best wishes .
