Hi, i was in the same position 2 weeks ago. Did my mammogram, 7 days later git a letter with an appointment the very next morning!! Further mammograms, scan and then told they beleive it's breast cancer.......was in total shock. Had 3 biopsys taken, waited 9 days for result. Sadly it has come back positive. ..  . Think I'm still in shock, as it all happened so quick. Got my 1st appointment with the Oncologist on 6th!!

I do hope yours comes back all negative and nothing to worry about

Hello. I had my mammogram three weeks ago and got a recall letter this morning.  I'm feeling a bit sick inside but trying to stay positive. My mother died of breast cancer when I was 8 and my eldest sister is in remission of the same.  I've been a bit hyper today, think I'm putting up a front for my family. I'm 63 and retired so thankfully don't have to work but as you say, it's the waiting I hate.  My appointment is Wednesday morning too but get the feeling tomorrow will be endless.

A very warm welcome to our forum. A large number of people are recalled after their first mammogram, simply because they don't have previous scans to compare with. I am glad to hear that you don't have much longer to wait. None of us like the waiting period. This is always a stressful time. I do hope that you get good news when you return. Went for my appointment today and was there all of 50 mins. They said they could see something on my original mammogram but couldn't see anything on the one today a d they did an ultrasound to confirm. Just got to wait for a second consultant to rubber stamp it but all looked good
