Hi mickey had a really lovely evening thank you and today spent the day with my sister and brother in law equally lovely. Just waiting for Tuesday to be over and done with. I don't feel anxious at all today and feeling very positive I'm sure everything will be fine xxx
Karen xx How funny xxx
Hi Karen, I'm glad it's not as bad as you thought, but sounds very sore. When does the dressing come off and do you do that? Have you been able to sleep on that side? Take it easy, hugs Mickey ️ ️
That's really great news Debbie, glad to hear it - all will be fine xx ️
Hi, just wondered how you are doing - if I remember right your result apt is Wednesday? Sending virtual hugs Mickey xx
Morning,
I have been doing much better actually thank you. I managed to distract myself over the weekend, been to London to see my sister and saw family yesterday for my daughter's birthday.
My results appointment is Wednesday at 2pm so not too much longer to wait now.
Yesterday the letter from the consultant was uploaded onto my medical record, so it meant I could read what the doctor said in my inital appointment which was good. I have remembered it right as well. There are 2 areas of concern which might be benign but they are slightly worried that there are some pre cancerous or cancerous changes which can't been seen on the ultrasound scan. Even if it is benign then I will have to have an MRI just to be on the safe side. So I am glad that I pushed and went back after I'd been told it was nothing in January!
Only 2 more sleeps to go and then I can find out what's going on. It's the waiting to find out what's going on that's the worst!!
How are you doing?
Hi mickey
The dressing is to stay on unless it starts to come off and the paper stitches just to cut the corners of them if the stick comes away from them, the surgeons to take it off at my appointment according to the nurse that was looking after me and the booklet i got home ssys the same not to immerse it in water, my sleeping in general is just rubbish and having this is worse, still sore if i lie on my side but ive been sleeping with the post surgery bras which is a good support, im only a 36C so not the biggest of boobs but painful enough, just a dull ache just now
Karen xx
That's great that you've managed to distract yourself and spend precious time with family for your daughters birthday too, how lovely.
It's good you could see the letter on your record, I tried that but my NHS record for some reason doesn't let me see anything or order repeats prescriptions (frustrating). I'm glad you went back too, thanks heavens and at least you know that you will have an MRI so you'll expect a further delay for those results.
Im just frustrated feeling I'm constantly going back to square one, but I'm hopefully my Breast Care Nurse will make some progress today and she's calling me tonight. X
Hi Karen, thanks for letting me know. When is your next surgeon apt? Helpful tip re sleeping in post surgery bra, sleeping seems to be an ongoing problem whatever the stage of this journey. I'm also 36c, although canerous boob is reduced now (not that it matters), did you go for front or back fastening post surgery bras? I'm starting to look at those now, ever hopeful I'll get a date soon xx
