Hi Karenk,
A very warm welcome to our forum. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 12 years, plus a few false alarms, so I have been through a number of biopsies. All I can say, is that the wait never gets any easier. Most of us would say that this is one of the worst parts of our cancer journey, as thereare so many unknowns and uncertainties.
I am glad to hear that you don't have much longer to wait. Try to keep yourself occupied with other distractions to help the time to pass a little quicker over the weekend.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Hi just joined this site reading different comments such an agonising wait for results I'm awaiting my appointment to see if my treatment has worked you feel so lonely at this moment hope all works out for you hang on in there my love thoughts are with you
Thank you so much, gosh that's meant so much to me.
I must admit my mind has been working over drive and don't know how I will cope if it's travelled to my Lymph Nodes. I am trying too stay positive.
Thanks Again For being so Kind ️
You are so welcome
It's not long now and completely normal to wander into the unknown, deep breaths and do what has helped you function so far, regardless of how small it is.
Take care, will send you huge hug in spirit
Let me know what happens xxx
Hi lisa
Thankyou so much, i was home about 3.30 ,everything went well, bloody sore now though going to be a lot of bruising to go back in 3 weeks for the follow up
Love karen
I'm so glad it went well
I think you've done absolutely amazing, your situation has been going on for such a long time, it takes some going waiting all that time!
Ooohhh can only imagine the soreness, my breast is so bruised from the VAB I'm having to prop it with a pillow to get some sleep relief! Did they say how long healing takes?
Watch something nice and rest and recuperate Karen - you may not realise it but you've gone through such a lot
Let me know how you get on xxx
Hi lisa

Hi Lisa, I'm so sorry, I thought I'd replied to you, but think I didn't - apologies, it wasn't intentional - head a bit over the place and do have a frozen shoulder now too (bloomin awful biopsies). Well I've got an apt Friday am with plastic surgeon and so I hope things will finally start moving. Are your results tomorrow? Keeping everything crossed for you and apologies again. Love n hugs Mickey xx
Good luck today Lisa ️ Xx
Good luck today Lisa ️ Xx
Hi Nikki, any update for you since the clear scan? Big hugs Mickey xx
Hi,
Sorry I am new here, and I can't work out how to post.
I am waiting for my results from some biopsys on Friday (5th) I am being seen on 17th and the consultant has already said I am going to have to have a MRI and a mammogram so it's not looking good. I have had a lump for over a year now. Was seen initally in January, but they dismissed it as I was still breastfeeding. I finished breastfeeding in August. The lump still didn't go, so was referred by my GP again. This time, I had a female consultant, who I feel took me seriously, wasn't rough when examining me and made me feel like my concerns were real. The dr who did the ultrasound found 2 lumps behind the big lump of breast tissue. One which she said was probably a cyst and another one that 'she wasn't happy with'. I had had 3 biopsys taken and 2 clips left inside for further scans.
I have 2 daughters 1 and 3 years old. I am terrified and the waiting is killing me quite honestly.
I don't feel like I can talk to those in my life. My husband keeps saying it'll be fine but I am so worried about not being able to work or be a mum to my girls.
Sorry again for jumping on the thread, but just needed to get this out.
Hi Mickey
Thank you for thinking of me. I have just been to see the Oncologist and have a plan for chemo to start ASAP, 6 sessions (3xEC and 3xDoxetaxel), then surgery and then radiation. So now just waiting to hear from the chemo team to contact me to make arrangements.
hope you are ok?
Sending love. Nikki ️ Xx
Hi there. You're definitely posting in the right place. I'm sorry to hear of your journey so far, but hang in there, you will get through it, like we all are and support here really helps. I'm out at mo, but didn't want to leave replying to you. I'll reply more later. Send virtual hugs Mickey xx
That's fantastic news Nikki xx fingers crossed we all get start dates for whatever treatment we're having first very very soon x love n hugs Mickey xx ️ ️
Hey!
So sorry to hear of your journey so far, so frustrating and worrying for you. I think everybody would agree that waiting for results is just the worst feeling ever.
fingers crossed you get some good results soon. Please do chat to us here if you need too.
lots of love xx
Hi Ebby088
The wait is awful, sorry you're having to through this as well.
I've had core biopsies which came back benign but they were still concerned it didn't match the mammogram images so last week had Vacuum Assisted biopsy in mammogram machine, I was desperately hoping today I'd know what the results were but it was cancelled, so the dreaded sickly wait continues,.
I have had so many meltdowns about the future because I get so upset for my children, seems it's part of the process but it is really hard at times to function so my heart goes out to you as you navigate life through this, I don't have any tips as I couldn't really function at all, but I could chat on here which was a blessing and it allowed me to offload the burden of emotions so I could function for a bit.
I'm glad you reached out to us, chat anytime
Love Lisa xxx
Thank you Nikki, my results cancelled again, never mind!
Looks like you're on your next step of the journey, each session which will fly past, it really does.
I will be thinking of you, if you give the cold cap a go lots of water and conditioner apparently helps reduce the shedding and just take a warm cardigan or throw to wrap around you.
Sending love
Hi again, I hope you feel a bit better after posting and I'm really pleased that Nikki and Lisa have already replied to you also, such a supportive network of ladies here. I just really wanted to say well done for persevering and being brave enough to go back to your GP when you finished breastfeeding and realised the lump still hadn't gone. I'm also really pleased you felt you were taken more seriously this time and the fact that they did the ultrasound and biopsies etc shows that. It's always hard waiting for results, we all find that, it's good that this time next week you will get your results. I just wanted to reassure you that even if the 'wasn't happy with' lump does not turn out to be benign, you will get through this. Breast cancer is highly treatable and you will be able to work and see your daughters grow up. You will get the right treatment and you're already reaching for the right support and we'll support if you want it at any time. Sorry for babbling on, I just felt your pain and hoped to ease your fears a bit, whilst ensuring you know it's completely natural to feel that way. I feel out of control most of the time and try not to think beyond my next appointment, that helps me focus a bit and get through, but we all have different ways of doing this. Be kind to yourself, that's most important. Virtual hugs Mickey xx
Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it. And your advice. I waver between terrified and ok and pretending that life is normal. I am only 33 and the consultant was like it's not common in younger women. Yet half the women in the clinic whilst I were there looked about my age.
