Hi Karenk,
A very warm welcome to our forum. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 12 years, plus a few false alarms, so I have been through a number of biopsies. All I can say, is that the wait never gets any easier. Most of us would say that this is one of the worst parts of our cancer journey, as thereare so many unknowns and uncertainties.
I am glad to hear that you don't have much longer to wait. Try to keep yourself occupied with other distractions to help the time to pass a little quicker over the weekend.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Hi just joined this site reading different comments such an agonising wait for results I'm awaiting my appointment to see if my treatment has worked you feel so lonely at this moment hope all works out for you hang on in there my love thoughts are with you
Hi Lucy,
I know that this is not the news that you expected and I am so sorry to hear this. It takes some time to get your head around this diagnosis, but you will get there.
I agree with what JaneRu has said. There are positives here, in that you have caught this fairly early and that it is still treatable. You will find that the more positive you can appear about this, the better your family and friends will cope with your diagnosis.
Please keep in touch and remember that we are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Thank you so much. Xx
Thank you. I think you ladies are going to be my tower of strength x
Oh Lucy, I'm completely floored
You will all feel completely bewildered for the next few days, I don't think anyone was expecting this, I absolutely feel for you right now and wish I could just give you a huge hug.
I'm gobsmacked and now fully understand why more biopsies are needed after core biopsy, although wondering why the hell there isn't another method to get to the bottom of it first time so no false hope is given when they say "no cancer found in those biopsies"...
But then I think thank god they didn't send you on your way xxx
If you want to rant or need a chat, cry or full on wobble, please, please message me, anytime.
Thank you for letting us know, shows you have courage from somewhere and that will come through at some point.
Sending you so much love and please keep me updated on your journey through this
Thank you.
That's what I found so hard, she seemed so sure that it wasn't. I'm trying to get my positive head on but finding it hard yet. I'll get there. Feels so surreal saying 'I have cancer.' Feel sick. X
I kept saying that when my mum was diagnosed, I just couldn't believe it or process it and remember walking around saying those words, I kept saying it out loud in the supermarket down the cheese aisle and waiting in the playground of all places to say it, it is unbelievably surreal!!!
I've sent you a friend request and I just want you to know that if you need to talk or put the world to rights I'm good at listening.
We will get you through this Lucy, we really will - sending love to your family too xxxx

Oh Lucy! I am shocked and so sorry to hear this news.
It completely blindsides you doesn't it? I still walk around and say it in my head... "I have cancer", it makes no sense to me.
feel how you need to feel, don't try and be brave. It's crap and you are allowed to feel that. I am also early steps of the journey so if you want to keep in touch, please do.
sending lots of love xxx
