Hi Karenk,
A very warm welcome to our forum. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 12 years, plus a few false alarms, so I have been through a number of biopsies. All I can say, is that the wait never gets any easier. Most of us would say that this is one of the worst parts of our cancer journey, as thereare so many unknowns and uncertainties.
I am glad to hear that you don't have much longer to wait. Try to keep yourself occupied with other distractions to help the time to pass a little quicker over the weekend.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Hi just joined this site reading different comments such an agonising wait for results I'm awaiting my appointment to see if my treatment has worked you feel so lonely at this moment hope all works out for you hang on in there my love thoughts are with you
Hi Lucy,
This is great news. I'm delighted for you. It may not feel like it at the moment, but it's good news that they are checking this tissue just to be absolutely certain. It also sounds as if they are going to rush your results through if they're going to have them for 1st November - I'm sure that you'll have no complaints with that!
I hope that all goes well for you on Thursday.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Thank you Jolamine. You're right, definitely feel a little mixed. I'm obviously so relieved and grateful that they didn't find any cancer but also still nervous at how they feel the need to go back in. But she reassured me that they are double checking. Fingers crossed for no pre cancerous cells and this whole nightmare is over.
I wouldn't have got through this without all you amazing ladies. ️ Will keep everyone updated xx
Wow, that is really quick Lucy, is that under mammogram? If so, just to say I'm told now the steri strips are supposed to stay on 4-5 days -? I messed up there by taking them off too early and have a little hole - oops xx fingers crossed for you xx
No idea! They didn't mention mammogram. Just vacuum biopsy. I've had a couple of mammograms last time and a marker put in. I did think it was very quick. Made me worry a little but definitely not complaining. She seems very positive. Fingers crossed xx
Hi lucy
So pleased for you, you will sleep tonight
Lots of love
Karen
Fingers crossed then Lucy xx great she seems positive xx
Hi Jenny,
I shall be thinking of you tomorrow and I hope that it all turns out ok. Are you taking someone with you to your appointment? This is always a good idea when you are going for results.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx

Hi Jolamine,
yes had MRI results back no other nasties lurking in there just the original lump, thank goodness, I've been contacted by a Genetics centre in Liverpool, I've got a phone consultation on the 8th dec. also now got my date for lumpectomy and snb, which is on the 11th nov, it's all starting to come together, just waiting for pre opp clinic appointment.
hope you are well.

Hi Sarah,
I'm so glad to hear that no more nasties were found with your MRI. You've got quite a wait for your genetics consultation, but I hope that it all goes well. You will feel better to get your lumpectomy out of the way as soon as possible, so it's good to hear that you don't have too long to wait.
Keep in touch and let us know how you get on.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
