Im waiting on breast biopsy results, i get them on monday, the waiting is just dreadful, sometimes your gut feeling tells you what you know but this time i just dont know! Anyone feel or felt the same?
A marker is routinely placed in your breast after you have a biopsy. No, the marker is not placed because you have cancer. It is simply a helpful tool used to identify the biopsy site. The tiny marker can be seen on any future mammograms, which is helpful to the radiologist reading your exam.
Try not to overthink things. Nobody will know what you have or haven't got until you get the results of your biopsy.
I have a radial scar initially on a mammogram it looks like a cancer so ive had an ultrasound biopsy followed by a stereotactic biopsy clips put in both times, the results for cancer are clear, but the radial scar may have cancer cells behind it, so yesterday i had a mag seed put in place, which the surgeon is guided by when i get the operation on the 8th of November, so far so good and heres hoping that once its removed that its clear too, but its a journey thats for sure and i get where you are coming from
So happy that it sounds so positive for you so far. Fingers crossed for you that it continues that way. Yes I've been reading up on markers, it seems they use them a lot. My 'D day' is getting nearer. I'll never forget this journey as long as I live. X
Ive got 3 markers in now well 2 markers and on Tuesday the magseed was put in but, ditto! I feel what you do!!! And if its not the big C lurking about this radial scar it is as you say a journey we wont forget, i just get one bruise away then a couple of weeks later another procedure then another bruise, its just the most dreadful, unknown journey to ever go through its on your mind all the time, even if its not cancer for me still an operation at the end of it, but between the breast clinic and hospital they hsve been brilliant, its just such a personal area, Tuesday taking your bra off in front of 4 strangers i just hated it. Whens your results hunni?
Oh bless you hun. So horrible. Mines pretty bruised from the biopsy, still hurts too nearly a week later. Can't even go down the stairs without holding it still. My results are on Monday at 3pm. I think I might actually vomit with nerves that morning. I'm supposed to be at a party sat night. Unsure what to do. How can I still enjoy myself with this hanging over me? Just want to hide until Monday
How are you getting on? You will be glad to get your results tomorrow and, I have my fingers crossed for you. Are you any further forward with your son?
