Im waiting on breast biopsy results, i get them on monday, the waiting is just dreadful, sometimes your gut feeling tells you what you know but this time i just dont know! Anyone feel or felt the same?
I had urgent right breast nipple/areola exciting wide local excision with perforator flap reconstruction of defect and SLNB , GA ???? Not a lumpectomy xxx
Was the infected area larger than they originally thought? The lymph node removal is usually routine with surgery. Here's hoping that they are all clear. Start making a list of questions for next time you see your consultant now. It is easier to get this ready as certain thoughts pop into your head, rather than waiting until the last minute.
It's a lot to take in for now, but it sounds as if they should have got it all this time. It is normal to delay reconstruction until after you've had treatment.
Just been thinking about you and hope you are bearing up and just to say m sorry for not been in the conversstion over the last few days got a filling at the dentist about a month ago and it wasnt settling, he took it out on thursday and ive had nothing but jip over the weekend so im thinking an infection is going on sp im phoning the dentist at 8.30 this morning, maxed out on solphadol and feel like *** with constant pain, so its just to send you my love and letting you know im thinking about you xxxx

I been poorly after opp, on antibiotics, I have sore mouth with all top lip swollen , pain pain , black and blue.....I only hope mid Oct it is good news xxx hugs to all of you xx

I was allowed to shower 2 days after my double mastectomy and showered the night after my lumpectomy. I kept the dressings in place and just washed around them. I used a mild shower gel. Are you going back to get the dressings removed, or what were you advised to do by the nurses?
I was still in hospital on both occasions which was just as well, because I pulled one of my drains out out on one side when I was undressing. Perhaps others could give us their experience?
