Im waiting on breast biopsy results, i get them on monday, the waiting is just dreadful, sometimes your gut feeling tells you what you know but this time i just dont know! Anyone feel or felt the same?
I had abtief call today from a nurse. My nurse will call me Monday...so, I was told it is a lumpectomy I am having but the cancer is also behind the nipple , so that has to be removed xx I am having estrogen blockers...and then waiting for results from my removal...prob be around 14th Oct...they will have another meeting..then tell me the plan when they know more about thier findings xx I been having bad dreams really bad...can't sleep xxx not coping very well at the moment xx I am moody. I cry, I forget things...all sorts xx hope everyone is doing the best they can xxx hugs to all of you xx
The way you are feeling is unfortunately, perfectly normal. Dealing with the unknown is difficult and you still have a number of unknowns to cope with. Here's hoping that, with the cancer being behind the nipple, the margin will not be too close to the chest wall. A lumpectomy followed by oestrogen blockers sound ok. They won't know whether or not any further treatment will be needed until the pathology results come back.
Try to find some task to keep you preoccupied and to help keep your mind off the wait.
He said something is behind nipple, he is doing 2 cires to the breast wall and lymph nodes xxxx it will be a big hole but he is cutting where the wire on bra usually is and pushing up my extra fat/tissue up to fill the hole where he is removing breast tissue xxxx
It sounds as if your surgeon knows what he is doing and has thought about the aesthetics afterwards. I hope that he can get enough fatty tissue to fill the hole.
