  • Did they check u clogged arteries yet? I really want to have a cardiac CT angiogram to check for blocked arteries but that will expose me to more radiation so I'm iffy about that.

  • I think u should do a Covid antibody test as well

  • hello needadvicereallyscared,

hello James sorry to hear of your difficulties.Having read your post through a number of times it occured to me that the title was somewhat misleading, since it is difficult to say after so many different tests, that your doctors are not taking you seriously.,Your chosen nametag implies that this is causing you a great deal of stress, and l would guess that with each passing test  with no answers,  those stress levels only continue to rise.Your post reads to me like you are at a point where you actually feel the  need for  a diagnosis of a severe medical condition.to calm you down. l write this in no way to denegrate or trivialise what you are going through, since l am sure this is causing you real anxiety and suffering, more as an observation from a removed distance.

Obviously l am in no position to advise on any medical aspect, but it does concern me that you have entrenched stress so deeply within you that this in itself will be causing so much misery and potential health issues. What l can say with absolute certainty is that stress can be a precursor to other serious medical issues as it interferes with your own bodies ability to maintain a steady equiliberum and control over its complex defence systems. You can never give enough credence to the debilitating effects and resulting issues from allowing stress to take control.

My advice is to attempt to change the angle from which you view your current position withouit changing your direction of travel. Yes continue to look for answers, but for example take the term " have not found anything wrong ", currently you are beating yourself up over this, rather than regarding this as a good thing. Saying this statement with either a downturned mouth or a happy smile on your face results in dramatically different results, try it should you not believe me.

l write this as someone who went through a life threatening road accident and cancer of the bowel with spread to the liver, and have come out the other side from both.l also had a career looking after the welfare of a farm housing several thousand pigs at any one time,so l thimk l am qualified to comment on the serious effects of stress.

James, whilst continuing to seek help and answers from others, the only one thing you  can possibly have control over is how much stress you continue to place upon yourself. If you realise that can cannot escape the journey but you can change how much more you can enjoy it,then a trip can become a lot easier.

Not easy l know but try to do your best, the rewards are far greater than you initially think, believe me since l have reaped them in my struggles,

                                                                                                                  take care,

                                                                                                                                      David

  • Hey David

Thank you so much for your reply and for the detailed response. I did not mean to mislead you and the reason why I said docs not taking me seriously is because I had to go privately and pay for head mri, all my ct scans, colonoscopy & endoscopy. I had to borrow all this money and now i am left super stuck as i am not working. I agree with you that stress does not help but I am so confused what to do next David. I am so happy you got through your diagnosis and that horrible accident. I am not one to think of serious illnesses when feeling under the weather however this time around has been over a year and so many systems. I feel as if I am on deaths door, i cannot travel in a car more than 10 mins as get this weird feeling in head and legs go super weak. My head feels like a shell and can not think or do anything. My eyesight and perception is super weird that i do not even know how to explain. I can not breath properly. My body feels numb. I am always exhausted like really really badly. I cannot do any exercise. I have no appetite and the smallest thing i eat makes me burp; also makes me feel uncomfortable. I have no sex drive or erection. I am so weak that my body cannot handle adraline, for example if a dog sneaked up on me and barked I would probably pass out.

Thank you so much for your reply because the stress is making it worse. I am happy that many tests have come back negative but at same time I know something is not right. I am breaking down and I just do not know what to do next David.

    James

  • Hello I wonder if you have had you thyroid tested because everything you feel is how I felt before it was treated and I also was talked to like I was making a mountain out of mole hill that saying was said to me  hope you get better

  • Hello thank you for your reply. What test would I have to do for that? Also what symptoms did you have?

  • Yes, James. Some Covid long haulers have very strange symptoms (severe brain fog, extreme fatigue, breathing issues etc) so I wouldn't be surprised if we both had it before. Symptoms of Covid long haul and CFS are very similar and I read somewhere that CfS sufferers get Covid long haul more easily than normal healthy people. People like you and I are very susceptible to CFS and Covid because stress, I believe, over time, damages the parietal cortex and that's the reason why we are always dizzy. It seems there is a communication problem between the brain and the body's sensory systems. I have asked my GP if there is anything that looks suspicious on my brain MRI and she said everything looks fine but I honestly don't think a GP is an expert in deciphering brain MRI. And tbh I don't trust the general radiologist, either. For a brain MRI, a neuroradiologist would be our best bet to decipher any brain abnormalities.

  • Okay i will get tested for that. That is a really good explanation and makes a lot of sense. I did use a private clinic for my head mri and radiologist does provide a detailed report which a GP would be able to see if anything further needs to be investigated. Like you though i have my speculation of my head feels like a drunk baloon. Today almost called an ambulance as was about to black out. I am in a big state of confusion and to be honest me and you should be admitted into hospital for more testing/treatment. I just do not like how A&E turns me away due to age and I go home still sick but i have been told today that i should not be denied testing/treatment with our symptoms so may take it further.

  • Sorry, I was replying to someone on a CFS forum. They asked me what symptoms I'm having so yeah gotta tell them everything.

Try to do some deep breathing. It seems to help calm me down and helps me worry less. We gotta pracrice mindfulness breathing and stuff. It's a Buddhist teaching and it seems to be helping me a bit. James, can you accept my friend request?
