Recovering after surgery

I was diagnosed with DCIS on March 25 and underwent surgery on 15th April. I am healing as I should be but sometimes I get a cold tingly feeling from the breast that spreads through the body. I am also struggling with the numbness in the breast. Has anyone got any advice in how to alleviate the numb feeling please. Ive also had a few days post surgery where I have just sat and cried, emotionally I feel like a dish rag.

  • Hi I had left breast lumpectomy and SNLB on 21st April. The breast tenderness is starting to ease but the underarm discomfort is worse. I do the exercises and wear a sports bra 24/7 which is not pleasant and like you get that cold tingly feeling sometimes.

Do you wear a decent support bra this will help the numbness as it will restric movement etc. Like all surgeries the area affected will be numb for a while.

There are times I want to cry but just can't as it feels so surreal it's happening to me. I'm also grieving for my mum who passed away in January so just feel lost.

Hope this helps a bit knowing your not alone. Message anytime.
