Breast biopsy result

Hi all,

I know this has probably been asked about 100 times before but I'm so nervous and wondered if anyone can help calm my nerves.

I had to go to the breast clinic on Monday and got scans and biopsies and they pretty much sadly told me that they suspect it is breast cancer. They told me they'd ring with biopsy results this week but instead I was sent a follow up appointment for next week. I'm fearing the worst now :( Has anyone ever been called in to be told good news or is it always just bad news that is face to face? I'm so scared and don't want this to be happening :( Sending strength to all you amazing people going through this hell x

    Hi Merlincat,

I am sorry to hear that you find yourself in the same position and hope that all goes well for you on Thursday. We are really fortunate that we live in a country where we have routine mammograms and, where  your cancer can be picked up earlier than it otherwise would.

The more positive you can remain throughout treatment, the better you will cope with your cancer diagnosis. Please remember that we are always here for you on bad days as well a good.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

    Hi Sarah,

I am so sorry to see that you have joined our forum for the same reason. The way you are feeling is perfectly normal. It is so difficult to accept that this is happening to you and not someone else. This is something that none of us plan for in our lives, but we've just got to work with the cards that we're dealt and it is all perfectly 'doable'.

I hope that your results on 5th May show, that if you do have cancer, it is still in the early stages. Irrespective of the outcome, you will feel better once you know exactly what you are dealing with and  start to work towards getting rid of it.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on with your results. Remember that we are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

    Hi sarah,

Thank you for your kind comments. I have found that positivity is a great help in coping with cancer. Like most people, i still have down days, but don't let them rule my life. Life is too short to let this happen and I intend to live it to the best of my abilities.

We nearly all persuade ourselves that things are worse than we think at this stage. Keeping my fingers crossed that this won't be the case when you get your results.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
