2021 Lockdown Breast Clinic open?

Visited GP today with right breast issues (nipple discharge etc) and she has referred me urgently to Breast Clinic for mammogram etc. Tonight PM has announced a new lockdown till at least mid February. Would anyone know if Breast Clinics etc will be closed during lockdown or not? Getting very anxious and I'm very worried

    My sincere apologies. It certainly wasn't my intention to upset you. I was only trying to give you some idea of the time frame to be seen and to let you know not to panic about an 'urgent' referral, as this is more or less the norm.

    Oh no you weren't and I meant it in a kind way as it's nice to know that there are people (like yourself) out there caring about people in (my) situation. I think with this pandemic you feel more than ever alone in these situations. So please no apologies but I'm sending you a thank you! Xx

    Hi Morrells,

    I was first diagnosed with breast cancer 11 years ago. I had a second bout the following year and am currently undergoing further tests, so I know only too well just how worrying the waits involved can be. The pandemic does make things worse, but even without it, you can still feel very alone at this stage. Please remember that all of us on the forum have either gone through it ourselves or have family or friends who have been through it, so we are all here to support one another.

    Do you have good support at home? This can be a great help.
