After having a core biopsy my results have come back inconclusive so within a week the lump is being removed and sent to pathology. My question is has anyone been in a similar position? I am trying to gauge if an inconclusive result increases the chance of a cancer diagnosis of if it's just an extra layer of caution that usually results in a benign result... having had fyboadenoma's in the past (three) all of which have been confirmed via core biopsy I can't help but feel "inconclusive" means there may be something untoward? The consultant taking the biopsy said at the time she got a good sample so I can't see it being insufficient material to sample I am very positive and don't worry in these situations normally but I have a "feeling" that I can't shake with this one... I'm just wondering what results others have had if they have been in this situation?
